falken rt615 reviews please

how are these compared to stock and the advan neovas? any downsides?

thank you

ive researched them a bit, and from what I can see they are comparable to both the s02s and neovas in terms of performance and wear. search here and you will find a few reviews for them.

they should be far superior to the S02s in the dry... and cheaper too...

Get the FK451 if you want Falken. Great in the dry, AND in the wet.

But do they make the right sizes? I cant find a rt-615 245/45/16 for my AP-1 rears. and has anyone actually compared these to a S0-2 on a skid pad?

I have them on my '90 Twin Turbo Z and they are fantastic! Almost all my friends run them on their car as well. It's the official performance tire of Tucson! ;)

I've had them on my car for two weeks now. I'm gradually pushing them harder and harder, but I only have about 150 miles on them. So far, I like them. For the price ($550 shipped), you can't beat'm. I went with the 225-45-17 and 255-40-17 on my AP2. The increase in width is noticable. Steering is very precise. They have very stiff sidewalls. I haven't driven them in the rain yet, but I've heard they're decent. I give them:

I ran these on my 00 Si that I tracked last year and they were fantastic. I was only beginning to experience minor heat issues at the end of 30 minute lapping session. The only other tire that I would run is a Toyo RA1, and these last much longer. I really recommend them.

thnx guys, any downsides?

for those sizes on the AP2, does the tire bubble out at all? any pics?

RobZ 04-18-2006 08:11 PM

The tire will not "bubble out" with those sizes on stock AP2 wheels. You can safely install a 245/40/17 on a 7.5" wheel and up to 265/40/17 on an 8.5" wide wheel. I can't say for certain whether these sizes will clear the bodywork but they are safe for the wheel size. 225 and 255 are just fine, sidewalls will be straight or angled slightly in if anything.
