Getting new wheels
i'm about to replace my OEM wheels & tires.
the new size wheels and tires: front: 17x7 +45 offset with 215/45/17 rear: 17x7 +48 offset with 245/40/17 I like to have 255/40/17 to the rear, (just because it looks more aggressive, i don't drive hard). I've read through this forum (wheel fitment guide), and the minimun offset requirement is +50 for the rear. Will this 255 tire rub? thanks again |
1. You shouldn't be running the same width of rim on all 4 corners.
2. You shouldn't be trying to put a 255 tire on a 7" wide rim. A 245 tire is already stretching it and is NOT recommended. It probably won't rub in most circumstances, but given the 2 points above, you are making a big mistake. |
sorry, it's supposed to be staggered
i mistyped 17x8 +48 in the rear |

thanks xviper,
i'll probably stick to 245. I'm ordering tomorrow. |
