got my rims back
|
Nice!
Does powdercoating add any significant weight? |
No, but beware cracking.
|
i had my rims painted for 2 years and they never cracked, powdercoating is much stronger than paint so i think im safe from cracking, i was going the that mag volk blue color, im pretty happy with how they came out. will be mounted on the car tommorow
|
Looks good.
Put on your flame suit... here comes all the "your wheels will crack" hearsay. |
he's not talking about the powder coat cracking but the actual wheel itself...
Although I've personally never had problems from powder coating |
Wow those are beautiful rims. What is the name of that color? It looks like it could be really dark blue, black, purple or medium blue depending on lighting conditions. I love it!
|
The cracking can come from too much heat being used when they powder coated the wheels. We had an SSR customer that bent all four wheels after powder coating.
|
blue ice explosion is the color i powder coated them, well theres no going back now, i dont think they will crack, lets hope not
