Default help and opinions on wheels and tires

hello all. i plan on purchasing a set of Volk GTS wheels in 18-inch and would like your opinions on possible problems i may encounter. I've already reviewed the Wheel Fitment Guide and it did help, but I'd like some more clarification.

link to the wheel:
http://www.rays-msc.com/wheels/index.cgi?d=15

link to its specs:
http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/2009/products/...p?code=VOLK_GTS

here is the potential wheel sizes I'm planning on getting:
F: 18x7.5 +55
R: 18x8.0 +55

now for tire sizes, I wish to keep the overall diameter close to the factory spec 16's. the site I normally use to purchase tires recommended these specs:
F: 215 40 18
R: 265 35 18

any help would be appreciated. thanks guys. i plan on ordering these wheels within three months.

There is no +55 in those widths, you are looking at the lip size. Why would you only want a 8" wheel in the rear?

I'd run 8" +43 front, 9" +44 rear with 225/40, 255/35 tires.

The widest tire you can run with the 18X8 is a 245/35R18. You can run those with the 215/40R18 in the front.
If I can help with the tires let me know.
