Default Help with tires sizes.....

Guys, any info would be great. My car is currently dropped on espilir springs on stock shocks. Those of you guys that have these, know that these drop the car pretty low. I just picked up a set of Work VS-SS wheels 18x8 FR +51mm and 18x9 RR +58mm offset. The wheels currently are running 225/40 in the front and 255/35 in the rear. The rear tires look they might need to be replaced and I'm thinking that the rear wheels might rub. Any one that is dropped on espilirs and have somewhat the same sizes and offsets want to point me in the right direction? Should I buy the same size tires? or should I go with 245/35 tires to prevent rubbing?

If you are running -2.0 camber or more in the rear then a 255 should be fine. I'd be more concerned with the front. If the tire catches the inner fender liner tab it will cause damage to the fender.

I would recommend rolling the fenders. If you don't want to do that, then get an aggressive alignment and possibly go to 215/40, 245/35 tires.

what if I wanted to align to stock specs, should I roll both front and rear?

It's your call. If you look at the wheel fitment sticky in this forum you will see you are right on the edge of the minimum offset required to not rub. Since the tires are already mounted, I would put the wheels on and try them. If you do rub in the rear, it will be very slight and you can then either roll the fender or go to 245's, which should clear fine.

I'd be a little more carefull with the front. Like I said, it only takes once to catch and "flare" out your fender. If you go with 245 in the rear, then I would switch to 215's in the front.
