How does this Alignment look?
Hey guys, well I got my car aligned about 2 weeks ago and finally got the chance to post a picture of the information of how the settings/degrees were and now are. he said the alignment before was TERRIBLY off cuz after the RA installation i didnt do this job b/c i alreayd needed new tires so i figured i'd save taht 60 bucks for once i got the new tires in and they are both complete now. Only thing is that the steering jerking motiion to the right seems a lot stiffer then to the left...why? more responsive to the right then to the left in other words and needs less rotation on the right side. The tires are re750's and are pretty good but seems a bit too soft/body rollish. when i jerk it left adn right car seems to react after i do it so causing the car to roll to the opposite side one extra time then it hsould n was like the so2s were. I got the chance to kind of see these tires on the freeway going at a decently high speed n the car seemed ok but a bit too wavy type feeling with these tires. Is it cuz i need to break them in more? or too much thread on it still? waht can it be? well, here is the picture. let me know.
WTF.........They made you pay for that?.......J/K
If you are looking for a little better performance the front right / left should be at least -1 camber.........rears around a -2 camber......but thats a matter of preference.
After looking at your print out.......the part that looks the most out of whack is the rear left vs rear right camber.......-2.3 left vs a -1.2 right??? I would have this corrected.
You also had a signifigant amount of toe issues in the front before you brought the car in......IMO.....that's why you are noticing a difference in "turn in"
As far as your issue with effort needed to turn the steering wheel........did the service tech adjust the "Caster".........your print out does not show any settings at all on this......an area for concern if you ask me. I would have this corrected to appropriate settings for both front right & front left to about 5.8 to 6 degrees
Camber settings in the front could stand to be a bit more agressive and should be a closer settings right vs. left in the rear.
If it was me I would most likely not take my car to this shop based on what I see from your report.
Just my opinion.....I'm sure others will have more to add.

The difference between -2.3 degrees and -1.2 degrees is a lot. So yes they should be more similar in setting.....they do not need to be an exact match.....but closer for sure. Refer to your final settings in the front for an example.
Where / What are your caster settings...........? They are an important part of how the steering feels when your are turning the car.
You might also find that you would get more response if this thread was in the "Wheel and Tire" forum.

I don't even think I'll go back to him for wheels either. Always a good deal, but always a "delay" in getting them. I'd rather pay the $200-$300 more and get the wheels in a decent amount of time
Call Westend Alignment and have it done by the best

what is caster settings? and how can I have the rears more similar in degrees or shoudl i say why didn't they do that?
The rear is NOT aligned correctly.............and needs to be redone. They (the shop you took the car to) do not have any "Caster" settings listed so there is no way to tell what they were or what they are......except to re-align the car.
Basically...........Get the car re-aligned at another shop with a better reputation that other members in your area know & trust. Obviously others in your area have had a bad experience with this establishment. I see one post here mentions another shop.
Here are the alignment settings I have used / currently use:
Front
-1.35 degrees Camber
0 degrees Toe
6 degrees Caster
Rear
-2.0 degrees Camber
0 degrees Thrust Angle
3.0 mm total Toe In......that would be 1.5 mm right and 1.5 mm left for a total of 3.0mm
Note: I am not preeching that the above settings are the only correct ones. I am simply sharing the settings that I like, and have had a good experience with. The settings I have listed above could be considered "Performance -or- Aggressive Street"........I believe them to increase the handeling characteristics of the S2000 vs. stock settings.
Vick is cool for wheels but not alignment. Its a very shotty job. He just tightens the bolts on the suspension and gets it as close as possible. Did he use the camber kit that came with the suspension, I dont know if your suspension did or not.
