Default I need help

Hey guys, could anyone tell me if 18x7.5 wheels with a 48mm offset would fit on the s2000 and how would it affect the car such as will they stick out past the fender wells and such. I do not do any racing, just mainly city driving with occasional hwy trips that are somewhat spirited but not excessive. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to spend a ton of money on wheels as I only travel about 10 miles a day. Every wheel shop in my area keeps suggesting 17x7 with 40mm offset as does Discount Tire Direct, would either of these setups work?

Read here in the wheels and tires section of s2ki --> https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=342793

18x7.5 +48 will work on the front. 17x7 +40 will not work without some work on the front. Unless you drop some cash on 18's they will likely hurt your performance (heavy) so I would recommend 17s but again you seem to be interested in looks so 18 may work for you.

Also you want to make sure you keep the stagger front to back

With the 48mm offset the wheels will work but I would stay on the narrow side with the tires. The 18" will work better than the 17" you list. The handling is not going to be great because you do not have staggered wheels or tires. You would be much better off finding a wheel that you can stagger.
If I can help let me know.

Thanks for all the help and the link. I have done searches on offsets on this forum but could not find what I was looking for but this cleared it right up. Thanks again!
