Default jdm 5 spoke wheels

I did a search but too many threads and not what I was looking for so here I am...

Quick Q, are the jdm 5 spoke wheels the same as what came on the US model ap1, just in a silver color (jdm) vs. a polished finish (us)? Or is there an actual difference between the two?

Picture for reference

Those look repainted to me. I think there is some variation in finish on the wheels year to year or jdm vs US. Thing is these wheels are all pretty old at this point and variations could be due to weather or how they were cleaned or they could have had a repair or refinish.

Any photos of the back of the wheels, especially the area at the hub and nearby spokes where the manufacturing data is located?

True, but I'm wondering if there's a difference if the actual wheel design between the us/jdm wheel.

Doubt there is a difference in JDM and RTW (rest of the world) wheel design and construction and Einke made the S2000 wheels up to and including the AP2V2 wheels (the AP2V3/CR wheels were made by someone else as I recall).

Original finish differences by market remains a puzzle.

I believe they are in fact different. The USDM wheels have the spokes that ends slightly below the lip to the rim, whereas the ROW and JDM wheels extend fully.

Correct, they are different.

There's also the JDM BBS wheels as well which are a different style too.

USDM/NA market AP1 Enkei wheels look like this

I was pretty sure they were, thanks for the clarification. I have a set of the JDM BBS wheels in the collection, might snag a set of these too just to have.
