will 255-40-17 in the rear on a 17x8.5 w/59mm offset rub if the car is dropped 1.4in (kgmm race springs)..........thanx

I can't tell you for certain. I would say you would be much safer with a 245/40R17 tire on the rear. With the 255 you may have to roll the fender lips.

would you then recommend running a 215-40-17 in the front.....I put 40 series just cause the race springs seem to drop the back more than the front and i don't want the front up higher....what do you think?
