Jim:question on tire sizing

Jim,
I was wondering if they made a "25" profile tire for 19's? What is the equivalent of a 265/35/18 for 19's? 255/30/19? 245/30/19?

I'm obviously not Jim. But hey, just Google the different sizes. There are tires out there that you wouldn't even think of.

They now make a 15 series tire. 385/15/22

And yes, there are 245/30/19, 255/30/19, 265/30/19 and 275/25/19 tires along with many other sizes.

A 265/30/19 has 0.13 of an inch less circumference than a 265/35/18. So they are basicly the same size.

They would not make any 25 series tires in the 19" that would fit and work correctly on the S2K. I would look at 225/35R19 front and 265/30R19 rear.
Sorry,

Sorry,

Jim,
I think im going with the 255/30/19 all around on the yokohama s. drives on a 10 inch wide rim. Do you think it will be too stretched or do you think i will be fine? Let me know.
thanks

What's your definition of "too stretched." :) A 255 on a 10" rim will be stretched, but I think to most, it's going to be a slight stretch.

My definition of "too stretched" is to the point where the rubber doesnt protect the edges of the rim. If the rubber covers the whole rim, then i think i would be good with that.

The 255/30R19 on a 19X10 would be a little stretched. It is beyond the recommendations of the tire mfgs.
