Default Looking for Opinions and Experience

Good morning/afternoon guys! I'm in a bit of a pickle in deciding my new wheels. I'm really attracted to the low price point of these (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...w=7&vid=008487). These are the Rage R5 wheels that are supposed to match the AP2 wheels (2005 MY). They are also lighter than the stock AP2 wheels. I currently have AP1 wheels and need to replace rubber on all 4 corners, but would like to upgrade due to increased traction performance. I'm fairly set on the RE11-A's offered by tire rack. However, I would really value all feedback and experiences concerning both wheel and rubber. Thanks Guys!

Don't put those on an S. Wrong offsets, marginal quality, not staggered.

Get OEM AP2 if you want to go 17" without fender rubbing hassles. RE-11A is great for the street. 215/245 fit the stock wheels very nicely.

For what its worth I really don't like the RE11a's in cool wet weather and don't recommend them for year round except in CA and FL. Mine are on the car only April through October.

Re11a are great. I don't believe anyone should drive these all year round. That's full retard in changing temps and cold ass winters. Don't buy cheap rims. Look for a nice set of quality used

Change the search filter to 9" and it eliminates all wheels offered by Discount Tire with the exception of some TSW wheels (Panorama, Nurburgring, Interlagos) which would actually be an upgrade. Those are all going to be in the $1k range which is really the lowest you are going to find wheels that fit, are light, and offered in decent S2000 sizes. Don't waste you money on a 7" non-staggered setup.

In the $500 range, AP2 wheels are by far your best option. Keep an eye out for the 5 spoke V3's offered on 08+, but they are rare and will command more $.
