Default Looking at RPF 1 wheels.

I'm thinking about buying a set of RPF1 wheels in this size:

F) 17x7.5 +48
R) 17x8 +45

Using the sticky about what will fit I'm under the impression that the fronts will fit a 215 and the rear will fit a 245 without sticking out. If I add 5mm spacers, would that give them a +53 and +50 offset respectively allowing me to run 225/255s? Or am I going in the wrong direction?

Nope...wrong direction.

if you add 5 mm spacers it will push the offset lower, so..... +43 and +40.

And offset has nothing to do with the size tire that will fit on the rim - however some people run smaller tires (stretch) to fit an agressive (lower offset) setup.

Personally I'd opt for the 17x8 +45 17x9 +45 RPF1's, and you can run 225/255 with those....might have to modify your fenders a little though....245 might be safer for the rear.

I would go with a 17x9 +45 offset for the concave face in the rear. If you want a non aggressive setup go with what you stated above.

Gotcha because it will move the contact point with the hub inward

I want something that won't stick out from the fender and will fit some rubber in there. I'm on stock suspension now, but I'm planning a conservative drop in addition to these wheels on DZ coilovers with 600lbs spring rates and koni yellows

How would 17x7.5 +48 and 17x9 +45 be?

Would 225/255 tires stick out at all?

if you go with 9+45 rears, you will more than likely have to roll your fenders when you drop the car. you should be okay with the fronts and 225

this is with 17x9+44 all around on stock fenders...you can see the rears sit flush with fenders on 255/40/17 falken azenis
