Default Making it simple . . .

Great forum here with a wealth of very detailed information. However, all I want to do is change my rims on my 2007 to black. I love the Enkei style, but just want to keep everything else stock. This can be done when I am ready for new tires . . . perhaps just get a package from Tire Rack. No track days, no agressive driving, no lowering, just black rims for my Rio. Is this actually possible without having to paint or powder coat the stock rims?

And thanks to the experienced folks for helping us . . . the new guys with the sometimes absurd questions!

You could get a set of Enkei PF01 wheels in black. They wouldn't require any fender mods as they come in high enough offsets. You could also get a ser of CR wheels, they are stock and come in a darker gunmetal color. They are pricey to find used though.

I'm not sure I understand the question but, yes it can be done (I think ).

If you want to change the wheel color and not the wheels, then no. paint or powder coat is your only option.

If you are looking to buy black wheels, then yes. There are many wheels that come in black if you are wanting to stay at stock sizes of wheels there are a few wheels you can look in to that will fit with no fender mods.

Yes, IrishCarBomb, perhaps I did not make myself clear. I want to buy black wheels, and not have to do any modifications. There are some nice ones on the tire rack site, and hopefully the folks there will be able to tell me what ones, and pair them with the proper tires so no modifications are needed for installation.

Enkei PF01's in the highest offset you can buy. TSW also has some options.

For future reference if you need to change wheel size or tire size this link will help you. It's for stock height/no fender mods only so keep that in mind if you want to lower the car.

We have a number of wheels in black that will work. The Enkei wheels work fine as well as the ASA AR1 and the OZ Allegerita. If I can help let me know.

The black PF01s look great. Would you use the same size tires as stock?

Will the PF01s work with new stock size tires?

Yes, you could also use 255 40 17 rears.
