Then I would get the 17x9 +45 on all 4 corners. I was running -4 camber rear and -2.5 front with my 17x9 +45 front and 17x9.5 +38 rear with 245/40/17

 

Ok cool. So up front would be fine with the 17x9+45 with a 225 tire on it? Or too much of a stretch? Like the concave rpf1's much more so want the 17x9's.

Would the 265 fit in the back ok you think?

 

Depends on your use. If you plan on tracking the car you can do 255/40/17 all around, as I did. If you're worried about fitment then you can technically do a 225 but I wouldn't. My thought is this...you have to do light fender mods anyways so you might as well get meaty tires. 245/40/17, 255/40/17 on all corners.

You can do a 265/40/17 but IMO it's a bit overkill. My friend has 265/40/17 on his RPF1's and it looks taller due to the higher sidewall.

 

Well not tracking my car. Just daily driving it really. From what I hear getting rid of the staggered will give more of an oversteer feel since I lose the grip advantage in the back no?
That is the reason I would like to keep the stagger for the most part.
I am already rolled up front and in the back so if I could fit a 225 up front without rolling anymore that would make it much easier as well.

 

Yeah, you have a little more oversteer but nothing noticeable unless you're tracking it. at least with 245/40/17 on all corners you can rotate your tires and save some cash.

How about 255? Main reason I am wanting to change wheels is to be able to run a wider tire since I only have 17x8 wheels all around now.
Getting re tuned for around 400whp in a month or so, so wouldn't mind a little more traction.

That's 17x9 +45 all around, 245 front, 255 rear.

 

I am running 225/255 on 9" +45. The front is stretched but not that noticeable or extreme. If you go more aggressive with wheels, you are just going to be limited by fender clearance instead of your current wheel width issue. You could do 265/40 rear but I think a 255/40 is much better fit and look with a 225/45 front.

 

Those both do look pretty sweet.

What are your alignment specs and what sort of fender work done?

 

by the sounds of what you are looking to accomplish i suggest 17x9+45 x4 with 255 star specs. the standard rolls and tab relocation should be good. i would start at -3 camber, max caster, zero toe for the front, -3 camber, 1/8 in toe in the rear.
