Need help with wheel/tire

Ok, so I realize that my previous offsets were all wrong, so here is what I got:
wheel: front 18x7.5 +42; rear 18x8.5 +47;
tires: rear 255/40; front 225/40
Now my question is will this rub? Should I go with a 215/40?

you'll be fine with a 225, your rears will rub depending on your ride height, your fronts should be fine, you may need to modify the fender liner/ run slightly more camber but that's it. Rear all you would need is more camber.

I ran 18x9 + 55 all around with 225/255 and I had f -1.5/r -2.5 camber and cut our my fender liner in the front

I have a stock ride height, do you think it will rub in the rear? What size tires would I need so it doesn't rub?

If you don't want to take a chance on rubbing I'd run 215/40, 245/35.

Thanks for all the advice I might play it safe this time around and go with the 215/40, 245/35.
