Need some AP2 alignment help...
Today I got an alignment for the first time since the factory job...I brought in the OEM spec sheet for them to have reference to but I do not think they read it correctly. I myself am trying to understand how to read them.
Here are the oem specs:

Here is the final print out from the alignment:

Question #1: I take it as he read the OEM spec of -1

suscribing .. curious.
but, from me just looking at your alignment sheet. i see nothing wrong. also, your factory alignment was not correct, never is. mine was off alot. that's why your car could feel different, the s is very sensitive to alignment.. you will feel a few degrees off.
also, the machine they use will give them the specs (the factory specs) they may not have used the sheet you brought them at all.

Search for the UK alignment specs...that's probably what you want unless you want to go with a more agressive autox alignment which would put you closer to -1.5

The UK specs should be fine on an AP2 as well.
Note that alignments are sensitive to weight...if you had a different fuel load or anything else that would change weight between alignments, then the numbers will be slightly off. In fact, ideally you should be sitting in the car when the alignment is done to put weight in the drivers seat.
Also...did you have the new tires mounted at TK Perf just before they put it on the alignment rack? That can also change the specs. Always drive a car that has been off it's wheels to resettle the suspension prior to getting an alignment.

Ah, I should have thought of that, but yes they did mount the tires and then immediately drove it to the alignment rack which probably didn't give the springs a chance to settle.
Did TK Perf allow you to sit it the car for your alignment? I was going to ask but this guy didn't seem too friendly when I spoke with him before he started and was definitely not a "sports car enthusiast" as most of the techs there were according to you...typical, I go in when the bling bling king/offroad warrior is working
just my luck, lol
Thanks for the advice Rob

Sorry that a blinger worked on your car...must be the weekday crew. They are open Sat and Sun so I go on the weekend.
The 3 wrenches that were there on the weekend were definitely enthusiasts. Next time look for a candy apple red fox body mustang parked in the back lot...that is Chad. The other guy's name I can't recall right off (will come to me though) had a Eclipse turbo that was very built...but he now is into sport bikes. The other wrench, whose name I didn't get, had a cleanly modded Civic parked in back.
Also...I've found that a tip before work starts is a big help. I slipped the wrench a $10 when I asked if I could sit in the car. Considering that you get free alignments for 6 months...I figure that offsets the cost of the tip.
