NEW wheel/Tire set up HELP
Hey guys looking at getting a cheap set of wheels for daily driving. Im lowered 2" on Coilovers and im looking at a staggered set up 18x8 45et fronts and 18x9 50et rear. I do have a rear fender roll with bumper tab and bumper shaved done already. Heres the questions i have.
1. Should i stick with the staggered set up or run 18x9 ft and rear since its a bit higher offset? I just dont want to rub. My ft fenders have not been touched!
2. Can i run a 245 on the 18x9 rear. My tire sizes i have picked out right now are 225/40/18 front and 245/35/18 rear. I was going to stick with the 245 just to give me a bit more room if i wanted to lower the car a bit more. I have 255/40/17 on the car right now with no rubbing but I have no clue what offset the wheels are. They were on the car when i bought it.
Any Advice would be great. Im new to the whole wheel tire thing.
Thanks~

1. Staggered or non-staggered is personal choice. FYI, a 9" +50 is MORE aggressive than a 8" +45. If rubbing is a concern then stick with the 225 on a 8" wheel. I would only go 9" all around if you wanted a 245 or 255 non-staggered setup, would require at least bending in the front fender liner tabs.
2. Yes.... but a 245/35 is smaller diameter than a 225/40, not a good look IMO to have the front larger diameter than the rear although it is a minimal difference. A 255/35 would be a better diameter match.

If you wanted to stick with the 245/35 rear, which is the best diameter choice, then I would run a 215/40 front to match. Again, you could do a 225/40 front also as long as the slight difference won't bother you, most people probably would not notice.
