Offset!

Is there any way that a +40 offset work for an 05 s2000 (rear)?

Maybe with a 17X7 and a 215/45R17 but not with a 17X8 and a 245/40R17.

So there is now way that this will fit even with fender rolling? Damn! they tricked me...... they said that it will fit, so I went ahead and got them. Now, every road dips has a sound effecting my rear. I looked at the tires and I saw a line going around the outside of the tire. I still have my stock suspension.... What can I do about this? They said over the phone that it should fit, I really dont know what to do. Probably just complain a little bit harder, I guess.......

fender rolling will give u about 10mm the most. so, now your offset would be aroun +50 with the fender rolled. 17x8.5 +50 most likely you'll still rub if you lower your car. I suggest get negative camber and fender rolled.

BUYER BEWARE! In a sense, they were right. They do "fit". They just never told you that they'll rub.
With that width and diameter of rim, you need at least a 60mm offset.

Just got done talking to them and said that they are going to fender roll the rears. I still dont think its going to work.........

Pare... try to exchange it with wheels with proper offset. +55 and above for 17x8.5

Sounds a bit drastic since they sold you the wrong rims. Ask them exactly what they are going to do before you let them take equipment to your car.
