Offset Explanation
Could someone please explain offset to me. I don't know much about cars but I'm getting an s2k and I want to learn more. Some of the things I absolutely have zero understanding of is wheel offset and how it's used when picking wheels for your desired set up. For example, if I wanted to lower my car and fit CCW 18 x 10 in front and 18 x 11 in rear so that they fit flush and install circuit garage ff01r flares what offset would I need and why? Would I have to camber the car a little, I've tried searching for a clear, simple explanation but every one I've read uses all these terms I still don't know. Keep in mind I've never worked on a car or learned about all the parts and technical aspects.
I'd like for it to look similar to highwaystardoritos car. I love the flares and how flush his rims sit. How can I get my car like that?

Start reading you have a year plus to wait for those fender flares if you get the at all so plenty of time to learn all about it. You could just look in his build thread or ask him what the specs of his wheels and alignment are.

Tool to play with to better understand how wheel width and offset effect where the new wheel sits in relation to the prior one.
