Offset Question
whats the lowest offset you can go on some 17's. I found some rims that i want to buy. The specs are 17X8 and 17X9 both with +35 offset, will these work or do i need spacers. I am sure I'll have to roll my fenders. Any help would be appreciated! Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Doesn't look like you're going to be able to fit those wheels without mods. Spacers would make it WORSE.
Minimum offsets from the sticky: For the front: 6.5 |
what mods would you suggest to do? i am willing to put some work and effort if i can get these wheels to fit.i thought i saw silverstone with +35 offsets all the way around on the crazy offset thread under gallery. i maybe mistaken though.

if you're looking for a gameplan to make these fit, I suggest getting the flared fender kit, in addition to a camber adjustment, and moderate drop.
Also certain machine shops can cut the backplane thereby increasing the offset of the wheel and not make it stick out as much, although only certain wheel structures and builds can support this. They'll be able to tell you if there's enough "meat" on the back of the wheel or not... (in addition to pages of disclaimers they will make you sign). Its a process thats frowned by many... but i know you were asking for a solution, not an opinion. i don't know if its a killer deal you came across or if the wheel is only offered in this size, but its gonna be a lot of work... truthfully, i'd let this one go. |
I found a killer deal thats why I'm trying to see if it will work. thanks for the info everyone.

Your probably gonna have to roll and pull the fenders, run a couple degrees of negative camber and run narrower tires. Thats offsets pretty low for those widths unless the one you thought you saw was running wider fenders.
