Default offsets

I have been reading that if you mess with the factory offsets that it can mess with the tracking or handeling of the car. Can anybody with lower offsets then stock help me out, say people with offsets in the 40s in the front? For example running ce28n 17x7.5 +43 or GC-07 +48 or anything like that? Thanks

A lower offset will widen the track of the car and actually improve handling. Too low though and the tires and wheels will stick out of the wheel well.

Thanks for the reply, I had just had some one tell me that the car will track funny. Like it will have a tendency to follow the little cracks in the road and pull all over a lot more then stock. Is there any truth to that? Thanks

I don't see why it would be any different than stock. Your tires and suspsnsion I would think have more to do with tracking in the little freeway ruts than anything else. Are you sure that you do not have something confused?
