Default picking sidwalls

iam been shopping for wheels and kinda confused. if i get a 17 inch rim would my sidwall have to smaller so it would be the same outter diameter? ive been reading ppls post and notice on 17 they rum same width and sidwall percentage as stock wouldn't that make the tires diamter bigger?

AP1 Stock sizes 205/55/16 F and 225/50/16 R (though the treadwidth on the OEM rear tires is closer to 245).

AP2 Stock sizes 215/45/17 F anf 245/40/17 R (though the treadwidth on the OEM Fronts is closer to a 205)

I'd go with the AP2 stock sizes listed above.

You should be good, the rears might be close if you lower, you could easily get around any rubbing with extra camber, slight fender rolling, or a 235 tire, but I doubt you'll have a problem.
Good luck!
