Default Powdercoating AP1 wheels.

Hey guys, I am going to powdercoat my ap1 wheels a glossy black leaving the center cap silver. What is the best way to prep the wheels for the powdercoating process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would just let the powdercoat shop sandblast them. How much cheaper is it?
BTW, get your centercaps painted to match the wheels. It just doesn't look right otherwise.

I am unsure of what the best way to prep for powdercoat is, but I have a couple pics that will give you an idea of what they will look like.

Mine are painted, but it gives you a general idea.

take really rough sand paper and sand them, then primer.

there are pics on the alabama chat board. Rollins and N30 both have this done. theres a introduction thread and N30's car is on the last page.

btw, this looks really amazing. i wanna powder coat my AP2 wheels.
