Default Proper Offset

Hey guys,

Just looking for the proper offset for the wheels sizes.

17X10- rear was thinking something like 65 offset- dont want to rub-possible to be too wide??

17X9 front- dont want to rub.

Rears will have rear overs but I am looking for something that would fit on the regular front and rear fenders. Planning on running 275 or maybe bigger in the rear and 245 up front.

Thanks in advanced

17x9 +63 with camber and 17x10+73 would be your best bet. why not go with x9 all around with same size tires since its for the track?

I was thinking that but oversteer is a little concern. I have since switched factory wheels out for volks 17x9 and 17x8 up front and by simply putting a 225 up front my contact patch ha increased nearly two inches on each side. This has since been corrected with suspension but I dont know what a 245 would be like up front? Any experience from those who have this done. Ps this will be a turbo'd S so that is another reason why I would like to get some meat in the back. Road course/ auto Xing will be the major duties over the car after the build. I am getting a custom set of Bogart racing wheels made once I can get the needed sizes. Cheap wheels but that hold up to some bashing and some power. PLus there are really light.

I would say that the higher the offset the better. The 17X9 on the front for anything but the track is not going to be fun to drive. You will probably get a lot of tramlining on the street.

thanks Jim. Yeah this will be track only wheels. I have the volks for the street. The tramlining though, I have that really bad already with the 17x8. Thanks again.
