Default Question about Spacers and tires

Hey guys, I just had a quick question in regards to spacers. Ive added 5mm spacers in teh ront to clear my Spoon Calipers. but the question I have is, will it affect the overal characteristics of my car in terms of handling and such?

reason I'm asking is, I'm planning to get RE050A Pole Position from tirerack but they dont have 215/45/17(My current spec and OEM) so I might settle for 225/45/ 17. with the wider front stance(caused by the spacer) and wider front tires... will it make my car more prone to oversteering? or have any negative affect on the characteristics of m ycar?

Also thinking about 215/45/17 and 255/40/17 in the Falken RT-615 if all else fails( opinions?)

Thanks

the slightly wider track would be nothing you would normally notice.

you may notice a difference however by going to the 225. if you stick to a 245 you're reducing your stagger, that can induce oversteer more often.

if you do 225/255 tho, i dont think you would notice a difference based on the slightly wider track.

ahh ic, so the spacers is insignificant then right?

I'd liek to stay 245 and 215 because I rub already so with a wider tire i'm afraid it'll rub too much =[

Good News!

I found 215/45/17 and 245/40/17 in the Bridgestone RE-01R! woot!

You don't say what the offsets of your wheels are so it's impossible to tell what tires will fit.
