Default Rays CE28 Refurbishment

Hi Guys,

I'm running a set of Rays CE 28s as daily drivers for over 5 years now.
Between trackdays, race compound brake pads and bad roads they really have seen better days.
So I'm wonder what you guys suggest to breath some life back into my wheels.

a wheel shop. I have a set of Regamasters that were curbed and beat to hell and my local shop made them brand new again for $340 for the set

Thanks Joe
Would you know if CE28s can be sprayed or do they need to be anodized again?

It depends on the color of the wheel. I think the bronze color is the only one that is annodized and very difficult to match. You can always just have them stripped and painted.

I had a set of mine powder coated, came out very nice. I know there is some debate about powder coating, but Volk powder coats them at the factory so I doubt it's going to hurt anything.

If yours are bronze then it will be really difficult to refinish them to how they were new. Very few anodizing shops have the bronze color, and painting/powder coating can't match the anodized look.

What is the name of the color that you used? If it's the one in the picture you attached I really like it.

I had mine powder coated back in June and everything seems to be okay.

That's a color called Bengal silver with no clear coat.

Thanks for the feedback guys
I found a couple of suggestions on the Bronze colour Rays use. One seems to be Ford Tibetan Gold which is a metallic with a satin finish. So I might see if my local paint shop can mix me a sample for comparison.

real solid idea. i've heard their mag blue is very hard to match too. i love most of the CE28n colors, with the exception of formula silver, just does nothing for me. bronze, mag blue, diamond black in that order...
