Default Rear Driver Side Wheel Pushed Out More

Any ideas why my driver's side wheel sticks out more than the passenger side in the rear? Both are 17X9.5 +50 with 255/40/17 tires. The passenger side sits pretty flush with the top of the fender, but the drivers side is pushed out at least 10-15mm more.

thanks,
Ed

Check your alignment. Chances are that they do not have the same camber. Also make sure you don't have a spacer on one of the wheels.

Yeah I'm going to get an alignment today & I'll have them check it out. I just wanted some ideas for them to look at. Not sure if it's the camber because it is pushed out further at the bottom of the wheel also it's ou further top to bottom. I'm assuming camber would mostly afect the top of the wheel's location.

As far as spacers I have 15mm spacers on both sides & they are identical. The wheels are +65 & with the spacers they are both +50 offset.

Thanks,
Ed

Alignment can be the only difference.

My car sits like that when I'm not in the car; I had it aligned and corner balanced with my weight in the driver seat, so your case is more than likely alignment.

I went to the alignment shop today & asked them to give me -2 degrees on ll four wheels. They got 3 wheels to -2 camber, but they said they could only get the rear driver's side camber to -1 3/4. The rears are maxed on the adjustment on both sides.

Is it normal to only be able to get -1 3/4 camber in the rear with Eibach 1" drop springs?

The rear passenger side ride height sits about 3/8" lower than the driver side. I'm thinking that 3/8" lower on the passenger side is making up that 1/4 degree more camber. I still don't understand why it sits so much higher on the driver side. I guess I'll just have to get coilovers & drop them evenly then get the camber aligned the same.

Would 1/4 degree of camber push the wheel out that much further on the driver side?

Thank for the help guys,
Ed

re install your coilovers, be sure to to put pressure on the coilover when you torque it down.

I don't think it's the shop they said the adjustment is maxed out, how would another shop do anything different?

Dat boi, I will try reinstalling the Eibach springs on the driver side to get the drop the same as the passenger side.
However anyone have any idea why I can only get -2 degrees in the rear with my 1" drop springs?

thanks,
Ed
