Default Regamaster evo/promada question

I have a simple question wonder if you guys have a simple answer....

I love love regamaster evos I want 17x9 squared all around in white not an easy task to find obviously.

I see the MP marquis promadas all day everyday. My biggest turn off of these are where the center cap sits the raised lip. I haven't really seen a difference besides that.

Basically my question is could I just cut and grind down that raised lip? Would that work and be safe?

Thanks

Hmmm I think you would have to have it milled or cnc'ed down so it was absolutely perfect. If you screw up that middle hole it could make it so they can't balance the tire properly. The other issue is I don't think the flat caps fit on the s2000.

I'm not really worried about a center cap I don't think the I've seen a center cap on a set of evos before that I can remember. If I get some of the big wheel whore guys to chime in I'm really considering doing this ASAP.

So I guess I'm not smart . I still say you couldn't just "grind it down." It needs to be done correctly otherwise you could mess up the wheel. You should also talk to some wheel refinishing/customizing places. I suspect this is somewhat similar to having the center bore of the wheel milled out.
