Rubbing issue

Default Rubbing issue

Well I had just lowered my car more on my 17x8.5 +42 wheels in the front and i have major rubbing. Right now im just a bit lower than no wheel gap. Tire size is 215/40/17. In order to make it clear my fender should i roll my fenders or will a camber kit make it lean in more so their will be more fender clearance? thanks

First off the tires you are using are not recommended for the car. They are almost 1" shorter than stock. To make this fit you are going to need to roll the fenders and run more negative camber. The rear issue is the wheels.

to running wrong tire sizes. That offset you will rub being how low you are. Either raise the car or prep the fenders.

So I would need a camber kit to run more negtive camber correct?

No, you don't need a camber kit. There is stock adjustment that should get you plenty of negative camber, especially since you are lowered. You should get your car aligned anyway since you lowered it and completely changed the geometry.

^^ Sorry to be off topic but how much adjustment does stock allow? Like max -camber.

OP, roll your fenders and run a little camber and you should probably also run wider tires, at least 225 but 235 would be good.

I have seen people claim anywhere from -1.2 to -2.5 max negative camber on stock suspension. As you lower the car then more negative camber is possible. I'm not sure on the exact range of adjustability, usually the only people who need camber kits are people tracking the car on stock suspension who want more negative camber (-3+).

that is what i planned on doing. When taking it for an alignment the person doing it can adjust the camber to run more negative right? The problem is getting my car to the shop without destroying my fenders lol. or is it possible to adjust the camber myself then take it for an alignment?

I got -3.5 in the front dropped 2 inches. Now im at -2.5
