Default which size?

Well I've pretty much decided on the rota subzero's. I really want the LE28N's but can't afford those wheels right now.

Anyways, I've searched and can't find any definite answer.

The subzero's come in 17x7.5 with a +45 offset and 18x7.5 with a +48 offset. I'm planning to lower my car about an inch. Which is the best way to go to prevent rubbing and to keep the wheels from sticking out? The bigger size with the higher offset or the smaller size with the lower offset?

I know it's gonna affect my handling but I'll still have my stockies on hand if I ever need em. BTW what tire sizes would be best for each setup?

Thanks in advance.

Rich

With a 48mm offset you would have to stay narrow on the tires. The problem I see is you don't have a rear wheel that is wider. It really will hurt the performance of the car with the same width front and rear. I guess in the 17" you could go with a 205/50R17 front and 225/45R17 rear.
If I can help let me know.
