Some fitment questions..

I've got my eyes on some 5Zigen FN01RC rims for the S. I've seen a few pictures of the 17x10 +35 rims on the rear without over fenders, but I've yet to hear what they did to the fenders, and what series tire they were running.
My question is.. If I shave my rear fenders, and run the stock 245 series tire on the new rim, will that give me enough clearance to run the rims until I get some over fenders?

Don't destroy your car for these mediocre rims. And I say that in the most polite way possible.

245 on a 10" rim is a terrible idea
17x10 +35 on this car is a terrible idea

Just find some wheels that fit, there are plenty of options that will work with only minor (or no) fender work.

I asked for facts, not opinions. But to each his own I guess, thanks for not helping at all.

Facts:

17x10 + 35 is going to stick out about 1.25" OUTSIDE the stock fender. It doesn't matter what you do with the tires, that just won't work with any reasonable setup. You would need a completely ridiculous alignment and stock ride height (which will look doubly ridiculous) to even get close.

Probably not the answer you wanted. Sorry.

That's the answer I wanted actually. I've seen it done on a stock body, on this forum actually. But I didn't know what all had been done to fit them. Thanks, I'll look into something else.

245s on a 10" rim? :dontdoit: Why even consider it?

Search is your friend.

It is more work than you think. Not worth it in my opinion. If you're getting overfenders, why don't you wait until you have them on.

I would not go below a 255/40R17 on the 17X10 wheels. With the width and the offset it will take some modification to the fenders to make it work. If you are willing to make them fit you can. If I can help with the tires let me know.
