Default spare tire question, non-s2k related

Is it bad for a spare tire to be on a car for a week?

The car will be sitting in a garage for a week, it won't be driven, and the spare tire is mounted. Would this cause bubbling and/or other issues?

You can drive the spare or let it sit for as long as you want. The only time a spare tire should not be used is on a four wheel drive vehicle. In this case you would want to work the spare into the rotation so the tread depth is the same.
