Default square wheels with staggered tires?

planning on running a set of 17x9et30 all around but want to limit oversteer to a controllable level. i'm running HKS Hipermaxx coilovers right now and the car is pretty stiff.

will running 235s in the front and 255s in the rear help?

thanks!!

I do not recommend square wheels. Hard to find tires for them, and round ones will give a smooover ride.

If you're worried about oversteer, why not go staggered?
Or you could run a stiffer front sway bar and keep the stock rear one.

What are the f/r spring rates on your coilovers?

FYI, +30 offsets aren't going to fit without some fender work.

spring rates on the HKS are 13f/11r kg/mm.

im looking at a set of wheels for sale that will clear my PMU bbk - just so happen they are square.

yea, im running 17x8et45, 17x9et45 and i've had some mino fender work done just to prevent rubbing. i'll probably have to pull the fenders even more just to get the +30 offset to work.

He's messing with you. He's trying to sound like you literally meant the wheels are square shaped. You would have a rough ride. Round wheels are smoother.

I say go with a non staggered set up because you can change the tires to suit your driving style. If you have to much over steer you can just change the front tire size. This way if you decide to go more aggressive you can run the same size tires front to back later down the road. still having the option to change front sway bar as well to fine tune your setup.

There was a thread on the racing forum about the hipermax coilovers being perfectly suited for a non-staggered setup. Maxrev is his name or something, but the stupid search is down again. That rant is for another thread though.
