Default Te37 bronze paint

Hi guys, I have pearl white painted te37s, and know that under there is the anodized bronze. Does anyone know if i can strip the paint and end up with the anodized bronze or will it just ruin everything? Thanks heaps

Paint stripper in my experience will not touch the anodize as its tough shit. If your wheels were powder coat then your screwed x2. 1 they sand them which killed the anodize. If they didn't sand them then the pc would look bad anyway and you'd have to have the lm prof chemically stripped becuase the off shelf removers don't work well on pc. Of they're painted you should be able to get it off. Maybe

I'm 100% sure its painted on. So off the shelf removers might work?
Ahh excited!! Thought there would be no chance of it working because it would ruin the anodize. I hope that they didnt sand the original colour to paint over it. Maybe. JUST maybe it will work. Won't hurt though as I might get them re-painted anyway. Thanks for your help!!!!! Greatly appreciated. Miss having an s2k such a great forum and car

And will paint stripper ruin my tyres? Should I take them off or will it be okay if I just cover it with some material or something?

So I decided to give it a go, didn't care of results because I would of ended up painting it anyway. Got most of the paint off without damaging the anodize, but theres still primer in some parts that are stuck. Anyone have any ideas how to get it off without damaging the anodize? Something that only targets primer?

Heres some examples:

So happy with the results, just need to get the rest off.
