Default Thinking of joining all you squares

After finally tracking my car this summer I'm really considering going with a square setup instead of my staggered set up I have now. I want to keep an aggressive look though. Does anyone know the stock hub to fender distance? It would really help in calculating how wide and how low of an offset I can get away with. I've ordered downforce fenders and I'll get some over fenders for the rear as well if I need to.

Not sure of the distance, but people have tried things enough to know what works. In terms of flush with the rear fender, a 17x9 +45 looks pretty aggressive. People have gone with lower offsets but once you do that, it gets a good deal harder to avoid rubbing. About the lowest offset for the rear fender with rolling and no overfenders is either a 17x9 +40 and 17x9.5 +38, and I am referring to with a propper size 255/40 tire. For the fronts on stock fenders 17x9 +60 actually looks pretty decent...people have fit 17x9 +45 with rolled fenders but it starts to poke a little bit. A lot depends on your budget too of course...if you have no budget, the Volk 17x9.5 +47 would fill up the fenders pretty well and you wouldn't need overfenders in the rear. If you'd rather spend more money on cutting your fenders and putting on overfenders then a 17x9.5 +38 or 17x10 +38 Enkei RPF1 would probably be good. Go to the Gallery section and look for the OFFICIAL Nonstaggered and Meaty Tires thread for ideas.

I was actually looking at 17x10 +35 all around. I'll have 30mm more to play with when I get the new fenders. I was looking at one S2000 in particular who has 17x10 +38 with a 5mm spacer and all that's done to it is flared fenders and over fenders. They also had 255's all around. I was just wondering if it was possible. There's an offset calculator online that will calculate the distance of your tire to your fender so that's why I needed the measurement. I'll just check when I get home today.

17x9 +45 with 255/40/17's AD08 with about 2 deg camber F and 2.5 R on stock suspension on stock fenders

Although I had heard alot about how easy these would fit, I was a bit surprised at the poke this had.

^^ thanks for those pics, i've been wondering what that looks like on stock suspension/fenders. are you having any rubbing under compression with that? is the camber maxed out with the stock adjustment?

With fenders rolled and rear bumper tab relocated, not much rubbing unless it's over the biggest dips. Camber is pretty much maxed out.

Just so you know, once you go lower, you will rub. I am quite picky on rubbing tyres so I flared and pulled the fenders which solved the issue.

Thanks for the help. Looks like he still has a bit of room in those DF fenders. I crunched some numbers and did some measurements and I think it's going to barely fit as long as I stay within a reasonable height.

My research told me that your sizing would not work at all with stock fenders;
