Default Time for new Tires....

Well the time has come for me to buy a new set of tires. My suspension is stock CR as are my wheels. I was thinking of doing Falken Azenis Rt615's, but what sizes would you guys recommend? Should I go with stock 215/255. or could I go up to a 225 or 235 up front?

Do you track the car?
My front OEM tires have 34K on them and my rear Michelin's have 22K (OEM rear tire picked up a nail through the sidewall at 12K). I still have 60% tread left. I'm looking at PS2 as replacements in 225 and 255 sizes.

Azenis will be considerably less sticky than your stock RE070.

What's your tire budget? Replacing 2 or 4?

I dont track it but I do lots of winding road stuff... So performance is a factor, but its not a time attack car by any means.

I'm planning on all four, I'd like to keep it a little less expensive because I wanted to buy new rotors pads and brake lines in the near future... I'm pretty sure that the re070's are expensive as hell azenis ar like 130 a piece...

I agree the RE070 are expensive as hell.

How about dunlop direzza star specs? They've gotten great reviews from many and are in the same neighborhood price wise as the azenis. Considerably better in the wet from what I understand as well.

Most any tire you choose will ride nicer than the RE070 did. The RE070 have an incredibly stiff sidewall that transfers all road texture to the car but also makes it feel very responsive.

Azenis are good in my book! I went thru 2 sets of them. Normal driving the rears will last 10-15k thats depends on the car. I think 225's look too beefy on stock wheels, i always ran 215/45's but these are hot for the money! And they still grip when they are bold.

I know in my area that Goodyear will order any tire you want and price match to tire rack. They will also honor the warranty.

Check prices and reviews on tire rack.

Just did, they're a little more than the azenis, but look like a good tire, the reviews are good too. Which leads me to my next question... Could I run 225's in the front? What would be the pros and cons of running a 225/45 up front?
