Tire Bubble?
 

I was out washing the car and noticed that my front driver side tire has this nice little bubble in it. Any ideas on what could cause this?
Are there any kind of manufacturer defect warranties that would cover it?

Looks like I need some new front tires because of this, tires are about a year and a half to two years old with a some tread left too =/...

Most likely impact damage from a pothole. From what I can see in your picture looks like your tread is down to the point where you need new tires anyway. Even if you had road hazard or other warrenty the would be unlikely to pay anything.

Most importantly, REPLACE THAT TIRE!

That tire and the other side which I'm guessing looks the same should definitely be replaced, bald tires on an S2000 is not good...

That pic looks a little better on tread depth but being so close to Abe's head and the bubble it definetily warrants replacement. Good luck with your Sumi's, watch out for those craters. :tipwink:

yup, i agree on the pothole or other damage causing the bubble. something tore the tire allowing air to seep in over time creating the bubble.

Get an alignment when you get new tires.

This is a very dangerous tire condition. I would get these replaced ASAP.

im assuming those are general tires from the URL on the tire. general tires are low-end continental tires. reminds me of the wanli tires i bought off ebay for my old spec-v back in the day. time to upgrade!
