Tire fitment question
Hey I currently have General Altimax HP tires on my ap1 with stock tire sizes. Today I got a flat (damn razor-blade) and was looking online and websites say that this tire wont fit the car? I have them on the car now so I dont know how that could be.

please help asap.. I need to purchase these tires online really soon.

Front or rear? That is the stock size for an AP1 rear.
|
yeah I need a rear..sorry
|
anyoneeee?
|
the only thing that will fit the rear and be a proper tire for a stock wheel ap1 is the fusion zri size 245/45//17

Correct AP1 sizes = 205/55-16 front, 225/50-16. If you get Fuzion ZRI tires just to be able to have 245/45-16 rears, you are giving up a ton of rear grip vs. a whole slew of better tires in the stock sizes. |
To the OP, 225/50-16 is TOTALLY FINE. But you should consider this an opportunity to get off yer substandard tires and get better-performing rubber all around. "Grand Touring All-Season" is not exactly a high-performance tire category...
If you don't need all-seasons (i.e., you don't drive in snow/ice/cold conditions), you're better off (gripwise, anyway) on Summer tires. |
