Default tire psi

i have a tendency to be a bit o.c.d with numbers....

does anyone know if being 1-2 psi under affect the handling and wear of the tires
in a bad way?

Under-inflation will increase rolling resistance of a tire. This will increase fuel usage, make for a softer sidewall (reduced lateral tire stability and induce "sponginess"), increase heat due to tire flex and can promote more wear on the outer edges of the contact patch. Over-inflation can reduce the contact patch (less grip) and also lead to increase center tread wear.

will 1 or 2 psi differences produce these effects or are those negligable amounts?

Since the stock recommenation is 32 psi, then pressures of 30 or 34 is nothing. Many owners typically run 34 to 35 psi. I'm talking differences from stock of more than 5 psi.
