tire questions
i have ordered the 17X8f - 17X9r enkei rpf1 and now i am in need of tires. i am wanting to go with 235/40/17f and 255/40/17r and was wondering what are some tires you all would recomend. i am going to be using these for daily driving so they will need to be usable in the rain. i was set on azenis but then i heard some mixed reviews about them sucking in the rain and to not get them if i had to drive in the rain. i wish i could get nitto neo-gen's cause i absolutely loved those tires, good in rain and decent enough for street and aggressive driving. and i was wanting to stay somewhere around $500 if possible. just seeing if anyone had any suggestions. i have seen plenty of tire threads but they are more of preformance tire and not dd tires. thanks for any input.

i just came across these, Direzza DZ101, anyone heard anything? also i wouldn't be opposed to other sizes, i am at stock height and am going to be getting the buddy club n+ so whatever you guys think would fit

First off the tire sizes you mention would not be good for the car. The front 235/40R17 would be too short and the stagger front to rear would be enough to throw off the anti lock brakes. Secondly I do carry the Direzza DZ101 but they are not that good of a tire. You can get a lot better tire for even less money.
I would recommend a 225/45R17 front Sumitomo HTRZ III at 95.00 and the rear 255/40R17 at 101.00. They are an excellent handling tire that really impressed me in our testing. If I can help let me know. |
would the 225 45 sit well on the 8" wide rim? i want to tire to be wider than the wheel so it protects the wheel. also wat about the bfg kdw t/a's? i have heard good things about them.
