Default Tire Recomendations

I have a 2000 s2000, and it is in need of new rear tires. The fronts are fine and im not planning on replacing them. The car currently has the S02's on it. Should i Stay with the S02's or go with something else? Also what sice should i get? The current size is 225/50WR16. This is a daily driver, but it will be run through the occasional autocross and some spirited driving. Thanks in advance for the help.

The S02s are a great tire for this car. If you are OK with the performance of S02s, get another set and avoid mix-n-match tire setups.

If you want something with better wet performance or something that is better in the cold, there are many choices, but you would want to get 4 new tires because you don't want S02s on the front and something lesser on the rear.

I would get another set of S02s, and then when the fronts wear out, the rears will probably be ready for another set as well. At that time, you could get a different brand and model of tire if you want.

Cheers.
