i track my car alot, i would like to run the potenza re010, but the 255/35/18 are rated at 180 tread wear, i want 140 tread wear all around. i run 225/40/18 in the front now and will stay there. my concern is how will the 245/40/18 compare to the 255/35 i am running now? size looks like .7 taller and .4 less wide. but how about track differences?

The RE01R is the best handling street tire we have tested. Treadwear ratings are put on by the tire mfgs. They are not uniform numbers so don't worry about the #. It is no idication of how sticky the tire is. I would run the 225/40R18 front and the 255/35R18 rear.
