Have any of you tried the Yokohama AVS ES100 tires or Pirelli P7000 Supersport tires?

245/45/16 rear and 205/55/16 front

If so how are they for a daily driver? I need tires now that will last longer than the SO2s or SO3s.

Thanks

JDMs2000,

I currently have them in the rear...255/35/18's.
Performance isn't that great...but they are good for commute, and they are really cheap. I think these tires will last me a while...about the same as the T1-S. Last set of T1-S tires lasted me about 12,000 miles.

Other thoughts:
Sidewall is soft.
Will handle water pretty good. Not as well as the T1-S.
Dry weather grip isn't that great at all. About the same as T1-S.

UTG's
S02 - 140
S03 - 220
ES100 - 280

Thanks Unicron. Have you heard anything about the Pirelli P7000 tires?

How were the Toyo's? Wet? Dry? And compared to other tires you have used.

Thanks,
john

I'm looking at switching to the Yokohama AVS dB tires for the back end... they cost $95 each from Tire Rack and are Ultra High Performance All Season tires... I need something that works in the wet (and sometimes slush!) here in PA. Any other recommendations?

I have about 9800 miles on the OEM Bridgestone tires... they're basically as smooth as Indycar tires.... is that typical tread life?

thanks all,

Donny D

The P7000SS do tend to get noisy with uneven wear. They also are one of the poorer all season tires in the snow.
I like the Dunlop SP500 if you do need the all season. They are priced at 100.00 front and 112.00 rear.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Well I will be ordering SO2s next week. I just had the Yokohamas installed today and I had to raise my car up an inch and cant deal with the gap, so off with these tires. I made a mistake. The ride was a lot better than the SO2s but they rubbed like there was no tomorrow with the Spoon wheels at a 2.5 inch drop. I even rolled the rear fenders and the 245s still rubbed like crazy therefore I am back to the SO2s.
