Default Tires

I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question? If I have so2 potenzas on the rear of my s2000 that are about 5 to 6 months old and I am about to need new tires on my front. Do I have to match the front with the same tires or can I put on the S03 potenza tires?

It's not a matter of can you (you can do anything you want). It's a matter of should you? If you put different kinds of tires front and rear, the two ends of the car will no longer grip the way they were designed to when you drive at certain limits of adhesion. The choice is yours.

It would be the emergency situation where the difference would come to play. Just driving down the road as long as you choose a like tire, you would be fine.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
