TPMS Sensor Replacement
Honda started using a direct sensor TPMS for the 2008/2009 S2000s as I understand it. Last set of new tires, Costco added a service pack TPMS to the order and everything has been fine. It is almost time for new tires and I wonder if I should replace all four sensors. Big price difference between OEM Honda parts online and Rock Auto Denso OEM sensors. Rock Auto is $42 vs Honda Online Parts for $122. I was looking at the Denso, last of the 3 for Rock Auto.
Anybody have experience with these replacements? Recommendations? https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...6bc6e3e3e9.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...06edc1c6ac.png https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...aca2f141fd.png |
I would not hesitate with the Densos! They're OEM for a reason

But thanks for the input. |
I checked with Costco as they will likely fit me with new Michelins (must go to larger tires-thanks rrounds for the info)
They have their own sensors and will not use any that you bring in yourself. No idea what they use. |

Costco will only use their sensors, which is a bit annoying because I would opt for the cheapest possible sensor that man has ever made. I would also opt to not replace them until they actually fail. Why do this preemptively? |

A small piece of black electrical tape fixes that easily. :)
