what finish is stronger than PDCing?
i had my wheels powdercoated but one oif the wheels chipped really bad when a bad shop mounted the wheels. im wondering what is a process that is stronger to produce a dark, dark bronze either glossy or flat (prefer gloss). Any ways im desperate to get something stronger and "bulletproof" finish for my ce28's? thanks.
To my knowledge, anodizing is a lot stronger as it is not really a finish but is grown out of the aluminum itself. I have only seen a couple of wheels that have been anodized and they were custom. You would have to have your wheel stripped and then anodized, I have no idea of the cost although I imagine it wouldn't be cheap. They should be able to produce a dark bronzish type finish.
I dont know how the wheel chipped so easily.....the shop i went to said
"it just came off" i dont know if thats bs or not. when a wheel comes bronze from the factory what finish do they use? thanks

your PC comapny must be stinging on something, more than likely not doing a proper prep job.
good powdercoat should not crack, even if hit with a hammer
make sure they sandblast them, clean VERY WELL.. most places actually place in dishwasher type cleaner or shit use a dishwasher to get rid of every spec of debris.
then have them powdercoated.. the most important part of any finish is the prep work.
