I think this has been discussed. I used the search but gained very indirect hits. Could someone explain the problem with wrong offset wheels.
Many thanks in advance

Your car will handle like a shopping trolly mine does as I've got the wrong off set and this is very important to the way your car handles the road and more importantly corners but that might just be because my camber is near to a 45* angle

honda9krpm,

This is the stock offsets:

Front +55mm
Rear +65mm

The higher the number, the more the face of the wheel will be inside the fender well.

So, if you try to put some wheels...say 17x8 +40mm...the wheels and tires will stick out.

Here is an offset article I help write:

https://www.s2ki.com/article/articleview/20/1/10/

I would like to change that in the rear, with 18x9.5, +70mm would be better.
Also, if you are want 18x9 wheels and want to run 265/35/18's...+65mm would work better.

A buddy of mine is running 225/40-18 all the way around on his S2000 on some kind of Konig rims prob. either a 18x7.5 or 18x8. I've been trying to tell him for a long time to go back to the oem wheels or a get a larger rear tire anywhere between a 245/35-18 to even a 265/35-18. What kind of problems is he experiencing by running a 225/40 all around on the S. Hopefully if someone has some valueable knowledge he'll make the switch, thanks.
