Default what is your dream wheel from Advan to work on your S2000 with out modification?

The Advan wheels made by Yokohama Tire in Japan have become a very popular wheel. Unfortunately, the wheels are geared to the large majority of vehicle applications that use more aggressive offsets than what works on the S2000. The Advan wheels have been installed by owners who either have to compromise on the width, or modify the fenders to fit with out rubbing.

As you may know, ScienceofSpeed worked with Yokohama Tire in Japan to custom make the Advan RG-D in a width and offset that works on the S2000 with out requiring fender modification to fit. You can see photos of the RG-D installed on customer cars here:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/850...photo-contest/

Yokohama Tire is interested to know if there are any other wheels that customers would be interested in. Suggestions were a full face wheel, like the RS and RZ, which gives the appearance of a much larger wheel, which works well for 17" diameters. If you could choose, which wheel and diameter would you like to see for the S2000?

Now, the requirement is pretty significant - 30 sets must be ordered. That means that we'd need at least 15 customers interested to pull this off. Let's see if there is enough interest to make this happen.

cheers,
-- Chris

Advan currently makes a RZ in a 9 +45 which concaves and fits with a roll. But it would be nice to see a RS or RGII that goes concave on a 9in wheel in a offset higher than +29, the point at which they currently get the GTR face.

Actually looking into buying some RZ's which would be nice and I would definetely sign up. Thing is I think this would probably by a long while until they are done. I'm planning on buying in early April but I could wait some time, but I don't want to wait till fall/winter if it gets done and the RZ are selected. I'll keep looking here see what's happening until I go to buy I guess.

Those styles are too similar to the Volk CE28N. I don't think you'd get the interest you want due to the fact that Volk produced a bunch of sets first.

ADVAN RSD/RS in a 17x9 et 55 to 60 offset would be awesome! A 17x9 et 63mm 949 6uLR rim fits nice but when that size is put on the front the tire will rub on the inner fender which requires some heat gun/rubber mallet action. Maybe with a 17x9 et 55 or et60 would help cure that problem but still being within the limits of the stock fenders. I have seen a 17x9 et 55 fit on a lowered s2k but will need atleast -2.7 degrees of camber to fit. Make it hyper silver too!

+1 for the RS-D in 17s specced for the S2

also, for the current RG-D's that were s2k specific, would like to see an option to get them in BRIGHT CHROME! as offered on the RS.
