Default Wheel Fitment

I know a guy thats selling some used Probe GT wheels for $100. I've been looking for a set of autocross wheels for awhile now and wanted to jump on these since they are so cheap. Problem is that idk if they will fit with the offsets they have.

The wheels are 16x7 all around with a 40 offset.

Yes I know they are probe wheels, but I don't care what they look like seeing as I'm only going to beat on them once every couple months. So my question is if they will fit on my '01 without any problems. Thanks for any help

Why not pick up a set of AP1 wheels, and run AP1 rears all around? That will give you 16x7.5 all around with the correct +65 offset. There are people out there (like me) who are selling a set of AP1 wheels for $150. Find someone local to you.

With 16x7, you'd be going narrower in the front, and the offset may not work depending on your tire choice. Other options: buy a pair of AP2 rears, run AP2 rears in the rear, AP1 rears in the front.

NOTE: to run rear S2000 wheels in the front, you'll have to bore out the center to 70mm I believe.

I know, I was going to get a set of ap1 wheels anyways but I found these and they're so cheap. It would be wider in the front but the rears would be narrower than the stock wheels.

I'm more concerned with the offset than the width. I'm not too familiar with what all the numbers mean so I don't know whether an offset of 40 would work.

BSP is a class in autocrossing. And I'm not worried about classing cause we go by NASA classing where I autocross.

Its a simple yes no question people Will they fit or not. I don't care what other options are out there, I don't care what class it will put me in, I don't care how it will look. I just want to know if they will fit without any issues.

Thanks

would putting some 3mm spacers on the front be the same as boring out the hub? someone told me if i ran spacers in the front, rear ap1s would fit fine.

yes they should fit offset wise. There are lots of people that run 8 inch wide wheels in the front with a 45 offset which sticks out 2mm more than the wheels you are asking about. The only question i would have about them fitting would be if the hub bore on the probe wheels would be big enough.
