Default wheel fitment

wheels and tires are finally done. everything is mounted and balanced and on the car. front and back wheels stick out a bit... so heres my question, for the back which over fenders would you guys suggest? and were can i buy them? (ive looked at some from s2carbonworks and a&j) the front fenders i really dont care about because ill let the body shop work on those. ( the body shop recently painted my whole car, and under the paint you can see deep scratches, all over the car... so they are taking the car back and redoing the paint job) and they might as well work on the front fenders a bit to make the wheels fit... so any suggestions on over fenders? or any other suggestions on what i should let the body shop modify while its going in there for another paint job? thanks guys

Do you have pictures? Size and offset of your wheels? Tire size? Are they rubbing or do they just stick out?

i have pictures, i just dont know how to upload them. wheels are 17x8 +35 225/45/17 and rear 17x9 +47 255/40/17.(tires are hankook ventus). at this point nothing rubs on stock ride height... the front and back wheels stick out maybe 1/4 inch. since the car is going back to the shop for another paint job, i figured id ask you guys if i should let the shop modify anything... not just because of these wheels that are on it...but in the future if i ever change things up, i would have that option, and things would be professionally done.

My favorite over fenders are the ASM overfenders which you can get from gotuning, not sure how the FRP ones hold up but the dry carbon ones are a lot stronger but has a much higher price.. But if the shop is doing it for you I would say go for it!

i saw a red one somewere here on the forums, were they cut up the rear panel to fit on the massive wheels... i honestly dont plan on selling the car... so i wouldnt even mind cutting up the rear fenders... if the body shop is doin everything mite as well get all that done and ill have a bigger selection of wheels to choose from next time... and ive seen those asm overfenders... they look great... im thinking about purchasing a set.

For your current rear setup, you only need to roll/flare the fenders. Overfenders are way too much for what you have.

http://www.gotuning.com/product_info.php?products_id=80 Here's the link for the fenders. Don't worry, over fenders aren't going to be too much for your set up, you're running 255's in the rear and if you really want over fenders in the long run anyway, you might as well do it now since you're bringing it to the body shop. ASM fenders increase your wheel well width by about 1 inch. Hope this helps

Agreed

I'm running a 17x9 +40, 255/40 tire in the rear and still on stock fenders. Roll, tab relocation, maybe a little flare and camber(-2.5 degrees at the most, maybe even -2 degrees). The fronts are the same. -2 degrees of camber and a roll/flare.

If you want I can send you a pic of my car with 17x9's all around 235/255 tires...

overfenders might be a bit to much for the wheels that are on the car now... but i figured that im most likely going to trade or sell my work wheels and find something else..and what honestly bugs me, is the fact that there are so many great wheels out there but they wont fit without a ton of mods to the body.. so if ill eventually get a diff set of wheels...and if the car is going to the body shop anyway for a new paint job. i figured why not..quite a few ppl have overfenders...but i havent seen many who decided to chop up their car to fit a certain set of wheels...honestly im open to all types of ideas, and im stronly concidering getting some overfenders and cutting the 1/4 panels before the car gets repainted again... i think ppl at the body shop would think im stupid if i show up 3 months down the road with a fresh paintjob and ask them to hack up the quarter panels lol...so why not do it now and get it out of the way...that way if i do decide to go with bigger or wider wheels i wont have such fitment problems...my s2000 is paid of.. i would not concider doing this if the car was still on a loan but since its paid of, and i own it and i dont plan on sellin it..i dont see the big deal... am i the only one crazy enough to cut up their car just to fit on some wheels? or are others thinking about doing the same?
